Shelley's obituary
Shelley Ann Castleberry, 61, found her peace on May 18th, 2024, in Austin, Texas.
Born on February 15th, 1963, in Colorado Springs, she was preceded in death by her father, Fred Stuetelberg, and her brother, Jeff Stuetelberg. She grew up in Atlantic, Iowa.
Survivors include: her husband, Perry Dean Castleberry; son, Tyler McBee (Mindy); step-daughter, Kristin Palmer (Miles); step-son, Steven Castleberry; grandchildren, Eleanor McBee, Parker Palmer, and Wendell McBee; mother, Marilyn Gates; and other family members, and friends.
Shelley was a dynamic presence in her community and a staple of Lago Vista. She achieved her dream of opening her own restaurant, The Flip House, and took great pride in her work. Shelley’s enthusiasm for life was contagious. She was passionate about entertaining and hosting family and friends, often bringing them together with her exceptional cooking and baking. She found joy in supporting her beloved Kansas City Chiefs and was an avid fan. Shelley also loved riding Harley Davidsons with her husband Perry.
Family and friends are welcome to celebrate Shelley’s life from 4-9 p.m. on Thursday, May 23rd at the Grande Pavilion at Bar K Park in Lago Vista, TX.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to support The Flip House and Perry through this transition.
Shelley's vibrant spirit and unwavering love for her family and community will be dearly missed.
