Sheila Thornton Obituary

Sheila Ann Thornton of Memphis departed this life on Thursday, July 27, 2023, at the Methodist University Hospital in Memphis at the age of 70.

She was born on February 11, 1953, in Memphis, TN. She was a beloved mother and a Registered Nurse at Regional One and worked in the Trauma ICU, the Burn Unit and the Medical ICU.

Sheila was preceded in death by her father, Arvil Bradford; and one daughter, Tamara Stafford. She is survived by her mother, Betty Meeks; Fiancé, John Childers; one son, John Brandon Stafford; six grandkids, John Rogers, Matthew Braden Stafford, Alexa Carroll, Zachery Carroll, Macie Ray and Tanner Carroll; and six great-grandchildren, Ava Rogers, Luka Rogers, Summer Rogers, Ellie Ray, Grayson Nash and Eden Ray.
