Shelia's obituary

Shelia Jane Collier, born on May 26, 1952, in Finger, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at her home in Memphis, Tennessee, on January 8, 2025, at the age of 72.

Shelia was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Sam Collier; a son, Ross Collier; her parents, Harold and Cora Crowe; her brother, Jesse Crowe; and her sister, Ann Ling. She is lovingly remembered by her siblings: Jerry Crowe, Bob Crowe (Judy), Betty Main (Marty), Kathy Hurst (Danny), and Kenneth Crowe (Donna). She leaves behind a devoted family that includes her son, David Everett(Alicia); daughters Krystal Everett(Andy), Kandi Everett, Shelly Collier, and Ashley Jones; as well as her cherished grandchildren: Leighann Jones, Alyssa Lambert (Bryce), Mason Everett (Alexis), Isabella Hatcher (Jack), Lucas Everett, Alexis Farruggia, Samantha Farmer, and Charles Mardis. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren: Braylon, Layla, Bradley, Ava, Bryson, Malaya, Linda Rose, Mario, and Levi.

Shelia dedicated much of her life to caring for her children and grandchildren—a role she embraced with boundless love and devotion. She was always quick to help those in need.  In the late 1980s, she served as a paramedic for the Memphis Fire Department. Her compassion and commitment to helping others left a lasting impact on those she served during her career.

In addition to her professional accomplishments and family devotion, Shelia found joy in crocheting and other crafts. Her creative spirit brought beauty into the lives of those around her.

Shelia’s memory will be treasured by all who knew her. May the love she shared continue to bring comfort to those she leaves behind.

Her Memorial Service will be held Thursday, January 16, 2025 2 o'clock pm at Ridgeway Baptist Church in Memphis, TN with Brother Ashley Ray presiding.
