Shelby's obituary
Shelby Chong (Arsenault)
Shelby Chong was born on February 26, 2018 in Hamden County, Massachusetts and made her final run across the Rainbow Bridge after a brief, yet valiant fight with dementia.
She was adopted in July 2018 with her sister Tasha where she lived a very happy 6 years and one month, which is advanced age for a guinea pig. Shelby enjoyed being cuddled, lettuce, the rare slice of banana, and she particularly enjoyed the shared company of her "husband", the late Tommy Chong, who predeceased her in October 2020.
Aside from her husband Tommy, she was predeceased by her cavy-parents, as well as her sister Tasha, brother Hawkeye, and brother-in-law Cheech. She is survived by and greatly missed by her humans Laura and Roy, her occasional caregiver Jason, and her two remaining piggie brothers, Bud and Bandit.
Burial was held on March 22, 2024. Please consider making a donation in her name to our local nonprofit rescue!
Rest Easy, sweet lady! 🐹
Til we should meet again, somewhere over the rainbow! 🌈
