Sheila's obituary
Sheila Ann Temporado passed away peacefully in her home on December 24, 2025. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, John Temporado, with whom she shared a life of love, adventure, and devotion.
Born and raised in Northamptonshire, England, Sheila was the daughter of the late George and Grace Jones, who owned a local shop and instilled in her the values of hard work, dedication, and the importance of family. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Hazel and Sue, and her brother, Chris.
As the wife of an Air Force MSGT, Sheila spent many years traveling the world alongside her husband. They eventually settled in Maryland, where they established a home filled with warmth, strength, and love.
Sheila will be fondly remembered for her love of gardening, a good cup of tea, cheering at her grandchildren’s many sporting events and for the Sunday dinners at her home, where family gathered around the table, stories were shared, and memories were made.
Sheila was the matriarch of her family, a steady presence whose guidance, resilience, strength, and care shaped generations. Her legacy lives on through the many lives she touched and the family she held together with grace and love.
Sheila is survived by her four children: Debra Jackson, wife of the late Sonny Jackson; Dawn O’Dell and her husband, Michael; David Temporado and his wife, Susan; and Denise Treude and her husband, Dave. She is also survived by her five grandchildren, Heather (Rob) Bates, Paul Jackson, Brittany (Matt) Krok, Sarah (Sean) Maloney, and Sam (Marissa) Edwards; her ten great-grandchildren, Johnathon, Jackson, Dylan, David, Lucas, Evelyn, Charlotte, Eddie, RJ and Liam; her two great-great-grandsons, Javon and Donovan; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
There will be no public service. A private memorial will be held by the family.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association in Sheila's honor.
