It's with deep sadness that I announce Sheila Rene Pelfrense passed away on August 23, 2025 at her home on Wild Horse Mesa from cancer.  Her happy, loving and caring personality will be missed by all. 

She is survived by her partner of several years James Elizondo, her son Craig Carmon, sister Kay Weickum and her husband Jeff Weickum, brother Troy Pelfresne and his wife Michele Pelfresne and 4 grand children whom she loved very much. 

Sheila worked for Miller Coors as purchasing agent for over 25 years. After that she worked for Little Norway Water Company on Wild Horse Mesa  dispensing water to the off grid community for a couple years. Her commitment to her work and community was evident. She was a stickler for detail.

Some of her favorite things were water and snow skiing, motorcycle riding, hiking and swimming.

Celebration of life ceremony will be held at the Wild Horse Mesa  Community Center on Saturday, Sept 27th from 12:00 - 5:00 pm. The Community Center address  is located at, 18208 Wild Horse Drive, San Luis, CO 81152
