Sheila (Morris)
Mrs. Sheila Morris Smith, age 65, of Lyons, died Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at her home surrounded by family. She was a lifelong resident of Toombs County, a 1977 graduate of Vidalia High School and had lived in Lyons since 1978. She retired as a bookkeeper and administrative assistant from the former Georgia State Prison and Rogers State Prison in Reidsville. She enjoyed reading, and in her youth, she was a passionate softball player. Sheila enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, and was known to all who loved and knew her, for her warmth, smile, gentle spirit, and how genuinely sweet she was. She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Harry Morris and Sylvia Jean Kilgo Morris.
She is survived by her husband of forty-seven years, Randy Smith ; two children, Nick Smith and wife Heather, and Justin Smith and wife Katherine; five grandchildren, Addie Smith, Emerson Smith, Ace Smith, Knox Smith, and Britton Smith; one brother, Ricky Morris and wife Sarah of Peachtree City; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday morning, November 8th, 2025, at 11:00 in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Vinson officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 9:30 until just prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to Regency SouthernCare Hospice, 1006, Mt. Vernon Road, Suite B, Vidalia, GA 30474 or the Alzheimer’s Association by visiting their website at alz.org.
