Sheila Lynn Eddins, 45 of Granite Falls passed away unexpectedly on Saturday March 14, 2026, at her residence.

She was born on January 14, 1981, to the late Larry Allen Costner and Cathy Rose Wilson in Burke County.

Along with both parents Sheila was preceded in death by a great nephew Emerson Ray Foster, multiple aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is survived by her sister Jessica Benfield (husband, Christopher) her brother Daniel A. Costner, along with 5 nieces, Destiny Letterman, Katlyn Benfield, Taylor Benfield, Maci Benfield, Charisma Costner, 1 great nephew Phoenix Foster, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Sheila struggled with addiction for most of her life, but that never stopped from doing her best to be a good sister, friend etc. She was kindhearted to the point she would give you the shirt from her back even if it left her without one herself. She didn't get to raise her own 3 children who I haven't named to respect their privacy, but I guess that's why she tried to be the best aunt she could. My girls and grandson loved their aunt Tu-Tu so much! Mom's passing was really hard for her, now they get to be together again.

No matter how you met or knew her she touched the lives of many with her kindness and her story. I know she will be missed tremendously! No services planned at this time, but the family is trying to put something together in the next few weeks. Once decided that info will be posted and family will be notified
