How you can help
Sheila dedicated her life to working with children with special needs. Her journey began in high school at Camp Colrain, a camp geared towards children with developmental disabilities, and ended this spring with her retirement from Wildwood Elementary School in Amherst.
She worked in the ILC (Intensive Learning Center) Program at Wildwood for 21 years. The ILC Program is designed for students who present with highly complicated educational needs that require a significant degree of coordination and service. Her job was to work one on one with these students to ensure their individual needs were being met.
Sheila's retirement this year was bittersweet. She planned to return as a substitute in the coming years. She loved her job, her coworkers, and especially loved her kids. Likewise, everyone adored her. She will be missed dearly by the many people she touched.
Because of Sheila's love for the ILC Program at Wildwood we found it fitting to create a memorial fund in her name. All funds raised will go directly to the program. Contribute
