Shawn's obituary

Shawn Merle Williams, age 45, passed away at St. George Regional Hospital on Tuesday, September 7, 2021. He was an outstanding Son, Father, Husband, Brother, and Friend. Shawn had such a vibrant soul- he was always full of energy and spread that energy to everyone around him. He will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by those who were close to him.

He was born in Conrad, MT 7/22/1976, and though he lived in many different states, he always considered Montana his home.

Shawn moved to Utah in 2005 to be closer to his Mother, Mary Habets and began a new chapter in his life. It was here that he met Janetta Jessop, and though they ultimately parted ways, he fathered two beautiful children whom he loved very much. Sonja, age 13, and River, age 10 changed his life forever. He always claimed that he didn't have a heart until his first child was born. Shawn was the proud business owner of Sunny's Pizza in Veyo, UT. And though circumstances made the endeavor a short one, people still talk about how GREAT his New York style pizza was and the kids in the neighborhood have missed the arcade games he had set up in there. It was a pretty fun (though often grueling) experience for him and his best friend, Cody Liggett.

In 2012, he met his wife, Jessica and they began their journey together. They have a beautiful 4 year old daughter, Sabrina, whom Shawn completely adored. He was always willing to play whatever she wanted- even if it meant letting her dress him up so they could perform dances together. He was so full of light when he played with his children. And he was a good dancer, too! He loved music and his playlist was full of every genre of music. His favorite hobbies were fishing, hiking, discussing politics and world news, working on cars, reading, and cooking. Most of all, he loved to laugh. All of our lives were touched by Shawn in a way that only he could. He will be forever in our hearts and memories. May he rest in peace.
