SHAWN A. McDERMIT

Shawn Andrew McDermit (51) died unexpectedly at Tufts Hospital on March 27, 2023, in Boston, MA due to Acute Hypoxic Respiratory Failure caused by MRSA Pneumonia.

Shawn is preceded in death by both his parents Dianne (Ricker) McDermit and Kenneth McDermit. Shawn is survived by his Children; Julie McDermit of Amesbury, MA, Kenny McDermit of Lawrence, MA, Kyle Bryant of Amesbury, MA and Courtney Bryant of Amesbury, MA. Grandchildren; Zander McDermit-Tyo, Adelynne Bryant, Jacqueson Bryant and Connor Cahill-Bryant. His siblings; Melodie Evans of Dover, NH, Steven McDermit of Amesbury, MA and Michael McDermit of Haverhill, MA. Shawn also leaves behind many friends and loved ones.

Shawn was born on June 21, 1971, in Amesbury, MA to Dianne and Kenneth McDermit. He graduated from Amesbury High School in 1990. Shawn has 4 children that he enjoyed raising into wonderful adults. He also has 4 grandchildren that he cherished very much. Shawn was involved with the Place of Promise out of Lowell, Ma where he re-found his faith in the Lord and began a college degree in Biblical Science. There he thrived and enjoyed learning and helping guide others.

NO funeral will scheduled as he didn't want any final services, he will be cremated and brought home to his oldest daughter.
