Shawn's obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the unexpected passing of Shawn Christopher Bailey, 46, on Tuesday, May 14th, 2024. Shawn grew up in northern Kentucky where he graduated from Highlands High School. He was a natural athlete playing baseball, football, and basketball. Shawn liked using his hands and went into construction where he became a professional drywaller. Shawn leaves behind his two beloved sons, Jordan Bailey and Blake Back. He is also survived by his devoted mother, Carol Brenda Wheeler, his brothers Toby Brown and his wife Carrie, and Sam Bailey and his wife Tara, Joey Bailey, Brian Hart (Michelle), and Jeff Hunter. He is also leaves behind his Uncles Tim Bailey and Tom Wheeler (Annie) and nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends that loved him.
Shawn was preceded in death by his father, Sam Bailey, and his grandparents, Sam and Juanita Wheeler, and Sam and Betty Bailey, and his Aunt Nita Evans, and brother Brandon Bailey.
Shawn was a loving father who cherished spending time with his boys. He had a passion for riding his motorcycle and enjoyed hanging out with friends. Known for his caring personality, Shawn had a remarkable ability to make friends easily. He had a good heart and was always willing to lend a hand to those in need, making him a cherished friend to many.
A celebration of Shawn’s life will be held at First Baptist Church of Highland Heights on Saturday, May 25th. Visitation will take place from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a service at 12:00 PM.
Shawn’s memory will forever be cherished by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed, and his loving spirit will live on in the hearts of those he touched. May he rest in peace.
