Shaun's obituary
Shaun Anthony Pierce-McMahon, 35, of Denver, Colorado, tragically passed away on February 07, 2023.
Shaun was born on June 26th, 1987 to his mother, Sharla Rochelle Pierce, 41, and his father, Robert Anthony McMahon, in Westminster, Colorado. He was a devoted and extremely loving father to his only child, 3 year old, Delaney McMahon. Shaun was the eldest brother of his three siblings; Bethany Acker, Lucas Acker, and Travis Acker. He was also an uncle to two nephews and two nieces.
After graduating from Westminster High School in December 2006, he joined the United States Army as an E-4 medic, he was 19 years old. He was honorably discharged in 2009 after the death of his mother, Sharla Pierce, and step-father, Michael Charles Acker, 47.
After the Army, he worked in a private correctional facility for roughly 8 years. He also worked at Dish Network as apart of the IHS technician team in July 2019 until September 2020. Mid-September 2020, he started in ADT commercializing and installing digital signal amplification systems for first responders. Shaun took pride into his work. He would always try to accomplish any difficult tasks he’d face, and always succeeded.
Shaun was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. Something he often mentioned was his family meant more to him than anything else in the world. He recently got back on his path of faith in God, and turned to Christianity in the beginning of 2021.
Shaun could often be found either outdoors or playing video games with his friends on Xbox. He would take his daughter to the local creeks, play museums, parks and many other exciting activities together when he wasn’t at home. He was unendingly proud of his daughter and had a very close bond with his younger sister throughout his childhood and into adulthood.
Anyone who knew Shaun knew he was the most loving father, brother, nephew and uncle that any family could ask for. His friends would say he was humorous and loyal, loving and as the gentle giant. Shaun was a fighter, and he fought hard for what he believed in. He’s survived by the ones that knew him in the light and in darkness and continued loving him for who he was. His memory will forever live on in lives and hearts of the people that had those unbreakable bonds with him.
God called Shaun back into heaven abruptly. He is no longer struggling with things that were hurting him in this world. He's reunited with his mother whom he’s missed terribly, he’s home. Shaun will forever be missed and loved unconditionally by so many people left behind. We will see each other again, someday.
Rest in peace, Shaun.
There will be a celebration of life for Shaun at 1:00pm on March 18th, 2023 at The Landing Place Church, officiated by Pastor Mark Hardacre.
