Background
As we navigate the sudden loss of my father, Shaun, we are moved by the outpouring of love from his community.
Shaun was a man who gave so much of himself to others, and we want to ensure his transition is handled with the dignity he deserves.
While a life insurance policy will cover the primary funeral home services, it does not address several immediate 'cash-flow' needs or the personal sacrifices made to ensure my father had a comfortable and dignified end-of-life experience.
This fund is dedicated to bridging those immediate gaps and protecting his legacy. Contributions will be prioritized as follows:
• Memorial & Care Recovery: To cover immediate costs not handled by insurance—including memorial attire for the family, travel, and a reception to celebrate his life. This also helps offset personal expenses and work income lost while providing Shaun with the highest standard of holistic care in his final weeks.
• Estate & Asset Security: To settle the administrative obligations and costs required to secure my father’s personal property for the family, ensuring his estate remains intact.
• The Sirriah Legacy Trust: Every dollar remaining after these immediate needs are met will be placed into a dedicated trust for Shaun’s grandson—the last living heir to our direct line—to support his future education and growth.
