Sharron's obituary

Sharron K. Wheatley, age 74, of Memphis, TN, left this world on July 28, 2023 while visiting family in Fairhope, AL. Sharron was born on November 15, 1948 and grew up in Forrest City, AR. She graduated from Forrest City High School and went on to attend Arkansas State University. Sharron was married to her love, Don Wheatley, and they shared 29 wonderful years together. Sharron and Don retired together from their family plumbing business in 2007. Sharron enjoyed many hobbies, such as Bunco, wine dinners with friends, and most of all, time with her grandchildren. Sharron is survived by her mother, Doris Marks of Blytheville, AR; her two sons, Don Wheatley (Donnia) of Fairhope, AL, and Jon Wheatley (Maize) of Lynwood, WA; her grandchildren, Ashley Walker (Adam) of Fairhope, AL, and Alissa Indelicato (AJ) of Lynwood, WA; her great-grandchildren, James, Claire, Ellie, A’ja, and Masai; her brother, Clark Marks (Chris); niece Lisa Marks; nephew, Steven Marks (Myra);  great-nephew, Tanner Chapman (Juliana); Hayden and Jacob Marks; her great-great niece and nephew, Ruby and Bryson; her two honorary grandchildren, Michael Ford (Lara) and Audrey Anderson (McCarty).  She was preceded in death by her husband, Don; her father, Zollie; and her grandparents. Sharron chose to donate her body to the Genesis donor program to help with education and medical research. The family will hold a celebration of life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
