Sharron's obituary

Sharron Charvala (Bossard), 78, of Cape Canaveral, Fla. passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2020 at Cape Canaveral Hospital.

Sharron was born Nov. 10, 1941 in Ithaca, N.Y., the daughter of Leona Bossard (Wood). She attended Ithaca High School and later lived many years in Syracuse, N.Y., where she was a longtime employee of New York Telephone Company. After retiring, she’d resided in Florida since 1994.

She is survived by her niece Lisa Hancock (Thorpe) of Cohoes, N.Y., niece Theresa Thorpe of Cypress, Tex. and nephew Todd Thorpe of Perkasie, Pa., as well as great nephews Richard Hancock and Evan Thorpe and great niece Allison Kerstein. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her twin sister Sandra Thorpe (Bossard) in 1976, as well as many good friends, specifically longtime companion Michael Roskowski, with whom she lived and shared many wonderful years together in Florida.

Private burial services will be held this week and she will be laid to rest at St. Francis Cemetery in Marcellus, N.Y. with her sister and mother. The family requests that donations in Sharron’s name be made toward a charity of the donor’s choosing, and would be greatly appreciated.
