Sharon's obituary

Sharon June Upman 1951- 2024

Sharon June Upman, 73 of Catonsville, MD died at University Maryland Medical Campus from complications with abdominal aortic aneurysm on October 6th, 2024

She was born in Baltimore in 1951 to James and Helen Schaeffer. Sharon was the youngest of 9 siblings. There are many kind words to describe Sharon and her relationship with her children of whom she spent all her worldly energy being a mother. Sharon was the loving, giving, thoughtful, sacrificing, and non-overbearing mother of Christopher, James, and Amanda Upman. Sharon remained a loving and devoted wife to Robert Upman until his passing in 2019. In 1988 Sharon started working at a grocery store called Basics.  She continued working  for the same chain under different names for  31years.  Sharon continued work at Shoppers food warehouse as head bookkeeper until her retirement in 2019.

Sharon was preceded in death by her mother Helen Schaeffer, husband Robert Upman, and children James Upman and Amanda Upman and is survived by her oldest son Christopher Upman.

Sharon who always stated her pragmatic wishes upon her death. Wished to have a peaceful passing without a memorial and her remains directly cremated.
