Sharon Tobey, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and cherished friend was born on February 9, 1948 and unexpectedly passed away on January 19, 2024. An essential pillar in her family, she left an indelible mark on the hearts of those she touched.

She is survived by her devoted daughter, Gretchen Kimball, loving son-in-law, Robert Kimball, and grandchildren Michael, Chelsea and Andrea Kimball. Along with her surviving siblings, and several nieces and nephews. They, among many others, will greatly miss her presence, wisdom, and love.

A funeral service for Sharon will be held on January 27, 2024 at 12:00 PM at Dolby Funeral Chapel. Friends and family are also invited to a visitation hour on the same day starting at 11:00 AM at the same location.

Sharon was a woman of varied interests, reflected in her rich and vibrant life. Her favorite foods, particularly Mac and Cheese, and her drink of choice, Caffeine Free Diet Coke, were simple indicators of her flavorful personality. Her love for music was eclectic, with The Lord of the Rings/Hobbits playlist among her favorite musical compilations.

Her preferred TV shows, which included The Great British Baking Show, Home Garden TV, and various cooking shows demonstrated her love for creativity, aesthetics, and food. Additionally, she was a fan of The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit collections in cinema. Her recreational activities included reading mystery books, sitting in the sun, scrapbooking, and Sudoku, all of which reflected her intellectual, thoughtful nature.

With a heart for travel, Sharon listed Paris  and Prudence Island, among her favorite vacation spots. She frequented local favorites such as Len Libby's, Amato’s, Kens and European Bakery in Falmouth. Her compassionate spirit was highlighted in her support for causes like ASPCA.

Sharon was best described as wise, witty, funny, caring, and loving. She leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness, reflected in the many lives she touched. Her loss is deeply felt by her family, friends, and community. Her spirit, however, will continue to inspire and bring joy to all who knew her.
