Sharon's obituary
Sherry was “so Sherry” with her raw opinions, wicked sense of humor and fervent love of family. She played many roles in her life - including a devoted wife to Dave for 40 years before he passed in 2009; a supportive and loving mother to Kelley, Kandy and Becky (deceased); a doting grandmother to Sarah/Sessy, Josh and Freddy (deceased); a dutiful daughter; a caring sister / step-sister / sister-in-law; an awesome aunt; a crazy cousin; a faithful friend; a talented hairdresser; and a bonus Mom to dozens of lucky souls. Sherry was also a crime story enthusiast and friend of CNN, MSN and FOX News.
Though petite in size, Sherry touched our lives in big, bold and impactful ways. It is likely anyone reading this has been the recipient of Sherry’s heart-made crafts and goodies over the years: afghans, baby blankets, Christmas stockings & ornaments, bag bags, money roses, diaper cakes, angel pins, wreaths, homemade coupons, luscious suppers, peanut butter ‘tandy cakes’, chocolate chip cookies, pizzelles, sour cream cake, turkey gravy and much more.
Sherry raised “her girls” to be good, honest, loving, yet tough. She put everyone’s needs above her own. All virtues aside, Sherry was a ruthless bargain hunter - famous for her patented “Sherry Shopping” technique, which often resulted in only paying 20% face value and $0 in shipping. While Pepsi, Tetley and Tic Tac will experience a steep decline in sales, Kohl’s and Target will surely see an increase in profits.
This extraordinary woman will be missed with all our hearts.
