Sharon was my second cousin, as my Mom Mary and her dad Paddy were first cousins. I have not seen since we were children when we came down from Jersey City to their house at the Jersey Shore. Our grandmothers,  Sabina and Elizabeth came from Ireland to the United States in the 1920’s first landing in Boston and then migrating to New Jersey. Our Grandmothers, also came with two more sisters, Delia and Kate, who settled in New York. My Mother told me how they all helped each other get through the depression and used to all get together to picnic, go swimming and later do the Irish jig. My memories of her as a young girl at the shore are happy and I am sorry that we did not keep in touch. I am glad that she had a loving family and friends. I also know she is no longer suffering. My prayers go out to them and I hope that we meet again in heaven.
