From:  Marshall  Deutsch.   I met Sharon 18 years ago when I first retired to  Florida.   We were together as a couple for most of those 18 years, and especially, during the last seven years.  We loved each other deeply and enjoyed much happiness.  Her illness was manageable for the first two years, until this past February.    I cherish the time we were together, and I will always miss her absence.  I extend my condolences to her family whom I have come to know personally over the past years.

Sharon has been in my life since I was 3 years old.

I remember the first time she took Michael and I into her photography dark room in their home in Coconut Grove. As a photographer, that’s where Sharon developed her film. We were maybe 6 years old. It was my first introduction into Sharon’s world of magic, art, creativity and teaching. I remember like it was yesterday, the photo images coming to life, the smell of the chemicals, and Sharon hovering over us, teaching Michael and I how to dodge and burn the film.

From then and over the years, Sharon has made it a point for us to stay connected.

I have loved being able to see her often when she would visit Seattle and Bevin. I loved to kibbutz with Sharon.

My favorite thing would be to get her to burst out in laughter at some silly joke - and usually about some made up mischief story about Michael and I as little boys. Hands down, Sharon had the biggest and best laugh, the biggest heart, and the most creative soul.

I will miss seeing her terribly, but her life inspires me. I think of and will honor her often. With love, Eric

I miss Sharon already, my dear friend  from 1972, when our kids went to pre- school together; from then on we were very close friends, always chatting on the phone….so happy i was lucky to visit her 3 months before she passed away….we had a good long friendship, may she rest in peace🌹🌹🌹

Dear Sharon, when we last had contact before New Years, I asked about meeting for our annual lunch in Del Ray upon my return from Europe. I never heard back and assumed you were busy with your life. Sadly, I did not initiate a call to check on you. I am sorry I didn't, now having learned of your declining health since January. I will miss my lunches with my cute Junior Prom date of 1956 at Ben Franklin High, in our hometown of Rochester, New York. Catching up with you was always fun, especially when you reminded me of how immature I was back then. Over the years since we reconnected after my late wife Judie's death. We have shared many happy memories of our teen years together: Camp Seneca, the Jewish Y, Alpha Phi Pi dances, varsity basketball games and the after-game parties at Pittsford Inn. More recently you attended my 83rd birthday party.  I always enjoyed our talks. About our families --we talked of your brothers, Sandy, Murph and Warren. You were also friends with my Judie.  You will always be my prom queen, Sharon, and I will miss you. Lenny Ackerman
