Sharon Lou Hurley passed away peacefully on April 3, 2025, at her home in Oroville, California, after a brief battle with liver cancer. She was 71 years old.

Born on December 9, 1953, in Middleton, Ohio, Sharon moved with her family to Los Angeles in the 1960s. She attended Westchester High School and later relocated to Santa Cruz in 1988 with her two young daughters. Sharon became a longtime resident of Santa Cruz, where she worked for Santa Cruz Operations (SCO) and Bay Federal Credit Union.

Sharon was preceded in death by her mother, Agnes Hurley; father, James Hurley; brother, James Cary Hurley; and infant daughter, Jennifer Allison Hill. She is survived by her daughters, Ashley Hill and Kristin Weaver (Hill); sisters, Jo Ann Hurley and Karen Hurley; and granddaughter, Saria Weaver.

A private funeral service for Sharon will be held on May 7, 2025, at 9:30 a.m.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
