Sharon's obituary
Sharon Ann Linscomb Hollier, born on May 11, 1935, in Iowa, Louisiana, passed away on February 4, 2025, at her home in Woodville, Mississippi. A retired postmaster, Sharon cherished her time spent with family and friends.
Sharon was a devoted wife to her late husband, Cayce Dwight Hollier, and a loving mother to her children, Trudy Hollier Rhinehart, Sharon “Rachael” Hollier Eberhart, Cayce D. “Spike” Hollier, Jr. (wife Jackie), and Brett Hollier. She was a proud grandmother to Misty, Jeremy, Brittany, Joey, Nikki, Renee, Taylor, Slade, and Zack, as well as a doting great-grandmother to 17 great-grandchildren. Sharon is also survived by her beloved sister, Martha “Moppy” Deshotel.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Emery Linscomb and Grace Henderson Castleman, her sisters Emma Rae Guerin and Fay Castleman, her brother Timothy Linscomb, and her grandson Lucas Hollier.
A woman of unwavering faith, Sharon loved nothing more than the Lord and was actively involved in the Woodville Baptist Church. She touched the lives of many through her kindness and selflessness. She will be remembered for her loving nature and her ability to uplift those around her, and her legacy of love and devotion will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
A memorial service will be held on March 8, 2025 at 11:00am at Woodville Baptist Church, with Reverend George Bannister officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude or Shriner's Children's Hospital would be a meaningful way to honor Sharon's memory.
