Sharon's obituary

Sharon (Ulrich) Gingrich, 60, passed away peacefully at her home in Palm Harbor, FL on May 3, 2018 after a long battle with systemic scleroderma.

Sharon is survived by her sisters Connie Shadduck, Debra (Michael) Kratochvil, and Carol Ulrich, her brother William Ulrich, and her half brother Adam Ulrich. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was predeceased by her father Benjamin Ulrich, her mother Iris (Hall) Ulrich, and her half brother Robert Sobiech.

Born in Binghamton, NY on October 13, 1957, Sharon lived in several states, particularly her beloved Texas, where she spent many years. She worked as a legal secretary and eventually retired due to her illness and moved to Florida.

Sharon loved living on the beautiful gulf coast, being tan, going to the beach and collecting oh so many shells, visiting the sponge docks, Häägan-Dazs strawberry ice cream, red jelly beans (definitely not the black ones), and keeping in touch with her friends and family. She cherished her extended family of pets, including her dog Brandi, that she had throughout the years and continued to hold close to her heart.

Sharon loved life to the fullest, fought to live as long as she could, and always kept her humor. She thought of others even during the most critical weeks of her own life. She was thankful for the support of her family and friends and especially for her friend Joe.

In memory of Sharon, please consider donations to the Scleroderma Foundation, Hospice, or your local pet rescue.
