Sharon's obituary

Sharon Denise Schaefer Dobbins, 63, passed away on October 29, 2019 at home in Spring, Texas. She was born on November 29, 1955 in Houston, Texas to Ervin Schaefer and Mildred Kolkhorst Schaefer. Sharon grew up in Houston, Texas. She graduated from Spring Branch High School in Houston, Texas in 1974. After high school she attended Massey Business College in Houston, Texas. She worked recently for Hewlett Packard as a lab tech manager the past 15 years prior to her retirement 3 years ago. Sharon married Alan Dobbins in 1992 in Houston, Texas. They were happily married for 27 years. She was a devoted mother, wife, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was always honest, hardworking, very caring, friendly, kind, gentle, and loved to entertain. In her spare time she enjoyed spending time with family, gardening, and using her creativity through arts and crafts.
Sharon is survived by her spouse Alan Dobbins of Spring, Texas; her daughters Amber Dunn (Scott), Cherie Warren (Brandon), and Sabrina Bowen (James); her sisters Jeanette Long, Terry Campbell, Pat Wisdom, and Florestine Breedlove; her brothers Danny Breedlove (Lynette), David Breedlove, Robert Dobbins, and Tom Campbell; her grandchildren Samantha, Sarah, Sabrina, Brianne, Cailey, Emily, and Drew; her great-grandchildren Copper, Averie, and Sloan; mother-in-law Charmaine Dobbins; numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents Ervin Schaefer; Mildred and Larry Breedlove; father-in-law Lloyd “Budd” Dobbins; brothers Jim Long, Raymond Breedlove, and Terry Wisdom; and other loving relatives.
A memorial service will be held at Friedens Church of Washington, UCC 20301 FM 1155 E, Washington, TX 77880 at 10:00 A.M. November 9, 2019. Immediately following the service, the family will greet family and friends and host a reception at the Friedens Fellowship Hall across the street.
