Sharon's obituary

Sharon Ann Dixon passed away peacefully on October 29, 2025, surrounded by her three daughters.

Born to Fred and Thelma McCarn, Sharon grew up on the family farm in Pawnee, Texas, alongside her two younger brothers, Neal and Steve McCarn. In 1972, Sharon married Jerry Dixon, and together they built a home full of laughter, hard work, and love, raising their daughters, Julie, Shana, and Megan. When Jerry passed in 2002, Sharon carried on with courage and grace, keeping her family close and her faith strong.

Sharon had a way of making friends wherever she went. She built a community of people who loved her for her warmth, generosity, and belief in the goodness of others. Her faith guided her life, and her kindness left a mark on everyone she met.

Family was always at the heart of everything Sharon did. She loved traveling with her girls, spoiling her grandchildren, and gathering everyone around the table for good food and game of trivia or Uno. As a Nana to her grandchildren, Sharon was patient, playful, and giving. Her grandkids were her greatest joy.

Sharon will be deeply missed by her family, her friends, and all who were lucky enough to know her. A celebration of her life will be held in Bleiblerville, TX in the Spring.
