With sorrow, we announce the departure of Sharon Lee Dean (Holmes) who passed away on December 30, 2023. Born on September 22, 1950, in Baltimore, MD, Sharon lived a fulfilling life filled with love, faith, and a deep devotion to her son and her feline companions.

Sharon moved to Elizabethton, TN in 1991, where she lived her remaining years. She is survived by her son, John McMeen, who was the apple of her eye. She was predeceased by her parents, Katherine Viola Holmes, and Sylvester Garfield Holmes, who instilled in her a love for singing and performing music.

Sharon spent much of her time reading the Bible, playing guitar, singing, and caring for her son and her four cherished cats: Coo, Wee, Silvers, and Boy. Sharon leaves a legacy of joy, playfulness, and an unwavering kindness towards animals.

A viewing for Sharon will be held on January 6, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, TN, followed by a service at the same location. A graveside service will be held on January 9, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Loudon Park Cemetery, Baltimore, MD.  Her life will be celebrated with love and remembrance.
