Shari's obituary

Shari Jean Myers, 52, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, died on March 30, 2025 at UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She was born January 6, 1973, in Wheeling, West Virginia.

In Shari’s early life, she wore several hats, some of them included being a nurse and bookkeeper. However, in later years she discovered a passion for general construction. Shari could be found building hotels in Maryland and Maine, on a roof nailing shingles, to building houses for Habitat for Humanity.

Shari was strong in her faith, which was evident in her involvement in The Experience Church (St, Clairsville, Ohio). Shari enjoyed kayaking, motorcycles, boating, gardening, four wheeling, picking berries and many other outdoor activities.

Shari always cared for others above herself, in death she was an organ donor. Shari’s donation has helped multiple families receive a second chance at life.

Surviving are her parents, Gerald and Cheryl Martin; her son, Jesse (Laken) Simkovich; three sisters, Jodi (Doug) Palmer, Dena (Bob) Milhoan, and Chris Binger; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at The Experience Church, 47998 Watson Road, St. Clairsville, Ohio 43950 on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at 3pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to help cover the expenses of Shari’s cremation, burial plot, and headstone. Any contributions are greatly appreciated and can be made directly to the memorial account at Unified Bank, account name Jesse & Laken Simkovich. Your support during this time of loss means more than words can express and will help the family honor Shari’s memory with the dignity and care.
