Shari's obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Shari Jae Cooper, an extraordinary woman known to many as GiGi, on December 19, 2025. Born on July 19, 1958, she lived her life with grace, warmth, and an undying spirit of love.
Shari's infectious cheer and warmth emanated in all her interactions. Her jovial nature and hearty laughter were as comforting as her favorite meals of salmon and mashed potatoes, often washed down with a cup of coffee or hot tea. One could not help but be captivated by her love for life as she indulged in her favorite shows "Equalizer" and myriad of doctor shows, that seem to satiate her wonderment for the medical world.
She radiated an unmistakable love for her family, especially for her daughter Destiny Cooper, and grandson Reign Cooper in whose life she played a significant role. Her time spent with Reign was her favorite pastime and was symbolic of her unwavering affection.
The vibrancy of Shari's spirit was reflected in her love for colors, with the rainbow being her ultimate favorite. Each color represented a facet of her personality – the love that she bestowed on others, her firm, hard-headed approach when things got tough, and her caring nature that made others feel instantly at ease.
Among the many places she loved, Florida held a special place in her heart as her preferred vacation spot; a place where she could relax, rejuvenate, and revel in the warmth that mirrored her personality.
In passing, Shari Cooper leaves behind a legacy of what a loving grandma should look like – nurturing, supportive, and persistently present. Her infectious love for life, vivid personality, and unwavering dedication to her family will continue to live in the hearts of those who had the privilege to know and love her.
May Shari "GiGi" Cooper fondly live on in our memories and her spirit of love continue to inspire us.
