Shannon J White died unexpectedly January 26, 2021. Shannon was born in Charleston, South Carolina to parents John and Shirley White.
Shannon graduated from Niceville High School and worked in various fields before finding his passion as a chef. He met his love, Wendy Gunger, and married her in 2002. They went on to have five children: Kayleigh, Shayla, Nathan, John (JP) and Hunter.
Shannon was a devoted and loving son, husband and father. He was passionate about cooking and the restaurant business. He loved his Saints and all things LSU.
Shannon is preceded in death by his father, John. He is survived by his wife, Wendy, and children, his mother, Shirley White, brother Shon White, partner Becca, and children Isis and Evan. He has many extended family members in the Gunger and White families.
Shannon was a kind, loving man who will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him. A celebration will be held Monday, February 1, 2021 at 3 pm at the Hilton in Sandestin.
