Shannon's obituary
Shannon is survived by her daughter, Brandi Henshaw, her loving mother, Susan Stufflebeam, and her stepfather, Stanley Stufflebeam. Her memory also lives on in her brothers Tony, Danny, and Tommy Cornett, and her sister, Natalie Tice.
In 1990, Shannon's world was graced with the birth of her daughter, which shaped the decades that followed. Professionally, Shannon poured her caring nature and dedication into her role as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), a vocation she took on around 2003. She declared her faith in Jesus, which she solidified through her baptism on August 26, 2012.
A voracious reader, Shannon, enjoyed the works of Nora Roberts and J.D. Robb. Saturday mornings were filled with the tunes of Elvis, Prince, Scorpion, and Tim McGraw. On the night before Thanksgiving, you would always find her cooking over night while watching Gone with the Wind, other times she would immerse herself in favorite movies like Sixteen Candles and 10 Things I Hate About You. Sunday afternoons were spent cheering on her beloved Jacksonville Jaguars.
Shannon's personality was a beautiful combination of humor and love. She was head strong and passionate about her beliefs. She had a deep sense of care for others and loved spending time with her friends and her family; especially when there were children present.
A celebration of Shannon's life will be held on October 11, 2025, at The Church at Argyle. We invite all who knew and loved Shannon to join us in remembering and honoring her remarkable life and spirit. An hour of visitation will begin at 11am with the service officially beginning at 12pm.
