Shane was my brother and a kind hearted man who loved his family and friends .  Whose presence and smiling face  I will so miss. I love you little brother ❤️
My heart aches for my daughter, Sandy, over the death of Shane. Shane has been part of our family for some 17 years or so. He has been the pallbearer for way too many of our loved ones. Today, March 25th, is the anniversary date when he and Sandy chose to be together exclusively. On March 20th the night he died, he had cooked dinner and seemed fine. I pray the shock of losing him so suddenly, right after he had just kissed her on the forehead and said "I love you" and knowing he did not die alone and was in her house a place he called home, gives her some comfort as she and the family grieve losing him.
I still think of a Shane as that 8 or 9 year old snotty nosed kid brother of Shawn, who always wanted us to take him fishing. I remember he was always fixing gadgets at that age and was good at it. Very funny guy with a lot of good qualities I admire. May he rest in peace except for the times he has a fish on the line...then he will be super excited. Save a few big ones for the rest of us up there, Shane.

When I moved to Iowa in High School, Shane was an instant true friend when I didn’t have many. Truly a great person who could always be counted on to be there when needed. He was truly a man’s man. I will miss him.

Say hello to Ralph for me, buddy.

When I met Shane he was a round cheeked, ginger haired , smart mouthed 13 year old. I loved him immediately. As he grew up he became a beautiful, brilliant, smart mouthed young man. And more than that, he became one of my best friends. And funny! He was one of the funniest people I've ever known. He made me laugh every day of my life for years.

As life would have it circumstances and later distance would seperate us all. It happens , it's called growing up. Still, he would call me from hyvee and ask how to make goulash ( which he did just a few weeks ago) and everything would be exactly like it always was. And I'd be laughing again.

It's the laughing I'm going to try to remember the most.

Always a charismatic guy who would do anything for a friend. He’ll be missed. RIP Shane
