Shane's obituary
Shane was born in Cocoa Beach, Florida on April 20, 1979, and spent most of his life in Palm Bay, Florida. He was a star athlete at Palm Bay High School, where he graduated with honors in 1998. Shane furthered his studies at The University of Central Florida, where he honed his singing skills fronting his popular band, "Noir".
After returning to Palm Bay, he worked as a computer technician but his greatest joy was coaching his 3 nephews in their youth league sports. Family always came first with Shane, although his many friends were a close second. Shane gave in death as he gave in life. His final act was to give the gift of life through organ donation, directly benefitting several people.
Shane is survived by his parents, Laura & Harold Rivamonte; his brother & sister-in-law, Rob & Sylvie Rivamonte; & his nephews, Tre', Cameron, & Cole Rivamonte, (Palm Bay, FL). Also left to mourn his death are his uncles, Thurman Strother (GA) and Earl (Linda) Rivamonte (WI); his aunt, Kim (Chuck Sessums) McLendon Strother (FL/LA); and his cousins, Thurman Strother II, Derek Strother, Paul (Eva) Strother, Alle Strother Byeseda (GA), & Tommy (Becky) Strother (MI). All of those who knew Shane, even just a little, have lost a shining light in their lives.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 9th, 2020. Details including time and location to follow.
Shane touched the lives of so many and now it’s our turn to give back to his family in their time of need. We are raising money to help cover the costs for Shane's family as his passing was completely unexpected.
