Shane Melton, 46, of Sylacauga Alabama, passed away on July 9,2021.

Shane was predeceased by his Mother Norma Melton. He is survived by his Sister Rebekah Lear, his two brothers Rick Smoot, and Shawn Melton, his children Lucas Melton, Alyssa Melton, and Jordan Melton. He is also survived my many nieces and nephews.
Shane was a very private person, but he would talk to any one. No matter where he went or what he got into he would make friends, he treated everyone like they were an old friend and make you feel comfortable to be around. This served him well because he loved history and loved to collect antique items. He collected every thing from arrow heads, to car license plates, with his passion falling on pocket watches and old clocks. He would get his hands on an old pocket watch from the late 1800 and make it run like it was brand new. You could just feel his excitement when he was telling you about what he did and then to go into the history of the watch or company brand. Don't even get me started on his story telling skills, he had a way of making you laugh about his stories or the adventures he had with his partners in crime back in the day. Shane was human he had his flaws like the rest of us but he did his best to leave a positive mark on everyone he came into contact with. He was held in high regards by everyone alike , his neighbors, co workers, friends , family, or anyone who had the pleasure of talking to him. To say that Shane will be missed would be an understatement.
