With heavy hearts, we announce the untimely passing of Shane Brent Waller, who was tragically killed in a hit-and-run accident on Interstate 80 in Sacramento, California, on May 24, 2025. He was 34 years old.
Born on November 16, 1990, Shane lived a life marked by creativity, compassion, and a deep love for others. A gifted artist, Shane poured his heart into his work, creating pieces that reflected not only his talent but also his deep empathy for the world around him. His art often spoke for those who couldn’t, and his life did the same.
Shane had a special calling to serve the unhoused and vulnerable members of his community. Whether it was through volunteering, sharing his time and resources, or simply offering a listening ear, Shane had an extraordinary way of making people feel seen and valued.
He is survived by his loving mother, Theresa Waller; his father, Ted Waller; stepmother, Sheri Lobb; sister, Heather Waller; stepbrother, Kendall Lobb; and stepsister, Brandi Lobb. Shane was a devoted son, a caring brother, and a loyal friend. His warmth, sense of humor, and generous spirit left a lasting mark on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Shane's legacy is one of love, compassion, and the belief that everyone deserves kindness and dignity. He will be missed beyond words and remembered always.
