Shakti Sama was born June 6, 1961 in Delhi, India to Dharampal & Tara Sama. He was the youngest brother to Surinder and Ashok. He married the love of his life, Bhawna Thaper in 1990. They lived in India, Hong Kong, and Australia before settling in Saint Louis where they began their family.
Shakti is survived by his wife and two adoring daughters Esha and Anchal as well as his to-be son-in-law, Neal Shah.
Shakti is well known for his love of entertaining and enjoyed the company of others. He welcomed each person that came into his home like family. He spoke genuinely and from the heart--one always open and full of love and understanding. His smile made you smile. His laugh was infectious. Shakti was a pillar of strength and a model friend, father, husband, brother and son. Although Shakti's passing has shaken our foundation, the legacy he leaves in those he has touched will give us the strength to carry on.
