Background
Best Foot Forward is a 501(c)3 agency that offers programs for foster care youth to provide the opportunity for academic success. BFF pairs program participants with an Academic or Graduation Coach from kindergarten to college. Through one-on-one support, each Coach provides a range of educational planning and monitoring to ensure academic success. Without dedicated guidance and support, children in foster care face unimaginable academic adversity due to a lack of basic skills, frequent changes to home and school placement, and emotional upheaval. In fact, only 46% of youth in foster care graduate high school and less than 3% graduate college, but we firmly believe that educational achievement is the greatest counterweight to these challenges. This is the core premise of the Best Foot Forward program.
Boca Helping Hands provides food, medical and financial assistance to meet basic human needs as well as education, job training and guidance to create self-sufficiency. Contribute to Best Foot Forward Foundation
