Seuk's obituary
In Loving Memory of Seuk Kim
June 28, 1975 – November 24, 2024
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Seuk Kim, who left us far too soon while living his dream and making the world a kinder place.
Seuk was a bright light in all our lives—witty, spontaneous, and full of boundless generosity. His laughter could fill a room, and his zest for life inspired everyone fortunate enough to know him. Whether through his bold sense of adventure or his quiet acts of kindness, he left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
From a young age, Seuk dreamed of taking to the skies, and he made that dream a reality by becoming a pilot. He found immense joy in flying and used his passion to help others, including his recent work with a nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing and transporting dogs to safe homes.
Seuk was more than just a pilot; he was a champion for others, a friend to all, and a deeply loved member of his family. He loved to cook, he was an avid baseball fan and above all, he loved his family with all his being. His bodacious spirit, generous heart, and endless capacity for love will be profoundly missed by his wife, Anna, three kids, parents, sibling, Sejin, mother, extended family, and countless friends.
Many news outlets have covered his story and memorialized his legacy. Search his name to read the articles and watch his daughter honor his memory through interviews.
As we grieve, we take solace in knowing that Seuk lived fully, loved deeply, and left a legacy of kindness and courage. He reminds us to embrace life with enthusiasm, to take bold leaps, and to always lend a hand to those in need.
In lieu of flowers, our family kindly requests donations in Seuk’s honor to support his surviving family during this difficult time and to help them navigate the challenges ahead.
Join us as we come together to celebrate his extraordinary life on Thursday, December 5, 2024. Soar high, Seuk. You will always be loved, and your memory will forever inspire us to reach for the skies.
