Seth "Bo"'s obituary
Mr. Newsom was born November 25, 1965, in LaGrange, and lived in Troup County most of his life. A 1983 graduate of Hogansville High School, he was employed as a team leader at Mobis in West Point. He was an avid University of Georgia football fan, and dearly loved his family and being at home.
Survivors include his daughters and son in-law, Heather and Derrick Collett of Taylorsville and Haley Newsom of LaGrange; his mother, Margie McWaters of LaGrange; sister and brother in-law, Beth and Clay Bryant, also of LaGrange; step-sister, Laurie Kirk of Franklin; his grandchildren, Cason Collett and Saylor Collett; aunt, Dee Woodruff; niece and nephew, Clayton and Emily Bryant and Ashley Gregory; several great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Seth Aladdin Tatum Newsom, Jr.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 5, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with the Reverend Andrew Barber officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Saturday.
Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
