Sergio's obituary

Sergio Soto was 20 years old when we he was finally freed of Leukemia, cancer. He was born April 21,2001 in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. He attended high school at Liberty high school, independence high school, and graduated at La Paloma high school, all in Brentwood, CA. Before the Cancer he enjoyed playing soccer and video games with his fellow soccer teammates GALAXY. When he was 15 years old he met his wife, Isabella Cristobal, whom became not just his best friend but primary caregiver. Sergio Soto and Isabella Cristobal put their wedding together in just seven days following the recent news of Soto's grim prognosis, back in August of 2021. They married September 7th 2021.

"No matter what happens with my treatment, or whatever happens, I know she'll always be there, take care of me and stuff, she really makes me happy," sergio , 20, told the outlet of isabella, also 20. "I knew she was the one for me, so that's why I proposed."

Sergio Soto was 15 years old when he was diagnosed with leukemia.

Around that time, he met Cristobal while they were attending high school in the East Bay, and the pair began dating.

Over the last few years, the couple has remained committed as Sergio battled Leukemia.

With the limited time they now have together, the couple found light and started living “One Day At A Time”. They both shared precious journeys with each other like going to Disneyland and A vacation to Hawaii. They were able to explore San Francisco together and go to beautiful places despite the grim prognosis.

"I love you so much, and I hope we can spend our life together for as long as we can," Sergio told Isabella, "I love you."

The couple was able to get done a bucket list of adventures in just 6 months to live. It came to a point to where Isabella asked Sergio, “Anything else you want to do?”, Sergio responded “Nah”. Unfortunately, things took a devastating turn when Sergio caught a very deadly pulmonary infection. Sergio held on for several days until the infection took his life. His last moments were shared being held in his wife’s arms and surrounded by friends and family.

Sergio wanted everyone to know, “That even if this illness takes me, just know that I am okay, and I’ll be fine. I can do this, and I’ll always be here no matter what.”
