Sergio's obituary
Sergio "Chejo" Saenz Carreon, 62, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2022 surrounded by his wife and daughters in his home in Las Cruces, NM.
Sergio was born on October 7th, 1959 in San Francisco de Borja, Chihuahua, MX. Sergio then moved to the USA in search of a better life where he then worked as a concrete finisher. He lived in Lubbock, TX when he met Soledad, then together moved to Denver, CO to start their lives together, 27 years ago. Sergio was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family. He was proud of his children and his wife, Soledad and always tried his best to support them. Anyone who knew Sergio knew that he was the most loving father and husband a family could ask for.
Sergio and his wife moved to Las Cruses recently and in his final months spent that time adventuring their surroundings with their dogs, Raton and Princess. Sergio was a man who loved old western cowboy movies, pawn shops, fishing, and exploring. Sergio had the best memory and could tell you the nickname of every person he met. He was the best story teller, driving instructor and always had a confidence to strive for.
He is survived by his wife, Soledad Hernandez, his son, Juan Ramon Saenz, and his daughters Sarah Saenz, Nancy Viera, and Vanessa Viera. As were his wishes, Sergio Saenz’s body will be cremated. There will be no service or funeral right away. His wife and life partner, Soledad Hernandez in time, will take him to San Francisco de Borja for the town festivities that he always loved in October. The family will advise as we will have a service then. For now we thank you very much for your prayers and space in these painful days.
