Cuco's obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Serafin "Cuco" Cordovez, who left us peacefully on November 22, 2023. Born in 1961, Cuco was a man of many passions, possessing a loving and polite personality that endeared him to all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Cuco is survived by his mother, Margarita Cordovez, sisters Ela Rodriguez and Maricela Cespedes, and a host of loving nieces and nephews: Charlene Tucker, Jessica Fonseca, Melissa Escalona, Sergio "Papo" Cordovez Jr., and Marco Cordovez. He is predeceased by his father, Sergio Cordovez, and his brother, Sergio Cordovez.

Cuco had a vibrant personality that reflected in his lifestyle and hobbies. He was an enthusiastic fan of the Braves and enjoyed playing golf, watching TV, and bowling in his spare time. Among his favorite shows was the classic "All in the Family." Cuco also enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, such as savoring burgers and drinking Coke. His favorite color was blue, a reflection perhaps of his tranquil and gentle personality. Cuco's legacy lives on in the lessons he left behind – to love one another. His radiant soul and gentle demeanor will be remembered fondly by all. His absence leaves a void, yet we find solace in knowing he is now home in heaven with his father and brother.

A funeral/church service will be held on Thursday, November 30 2023, at 10:00 AM at St. Paul Catholic Church. Additionally, a burial service will be held later in the day, at 1:00 PM at the Blount & Curry Funeral Home at Garden of Memories.

Cuco's departure is a poignant reminder of the transient nature of life. His light continues to twinkle in our hearts, as he will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. We take comfort in his journey to join his father and brother in heaven. Rest in peace, Cuco.
