Selma's obituary

On February 7, 2026, our beloved Selma Kay Reigner was called home to the Kingdom of Heaven, passing peacefully comforted by the thoughts and prayers of her family and friends. She was born Selma Kay Klepper to Sylvin and Kathryn Klepper in July 1952, in Albion, Michigan.

Selma was raised in a loving home by her parents and four protective brothers. This home and community provided the foundation to be a hard worker, helping her brothers with their paper routes, a wonderful ice skater and a caring friend to all she went to school with. Many of these relationships lasted a lifetime with the same care and devotion she imparted so many years ago. As an adult, Selma was the loving Mother of three sons, that she raised and guided into amazing young men.

The same care and dedication she devoted to her family, she also shared with her work family, the organizations she worked for through the years and developed numerous lasting friendships. These include Interlochen Center for the Arts, Motor Products of Owosso, O.I.L. Energy and the various contractors of Enbridge. She took enormous pride in assisting everybody’s efforts and being the ultimate team player.

Selma’s greatest joy and why she was put on this earth was to make everyone feel important and cared for. She certainly demonstrated that to her family, friends and neighbors, but also the employees at grocery stores and restaurants, strangers at the campgrounds and marinas, and the people on the walking paths and parks all experienced that bright smile, the kind hello and the sparkle in her eyes that brightened their day.

Selma is survived by her husband of 40 years, Chuck, her sons Zach Emery (Lisa), Logan Reigner, Brysen Reigner (Rachel) and her adored grandchildren Macyn and Kayden Emery. She is also survived by her brothers Craig Klepper (Cheryl), Keith Klepper (Jan), Rex Klepper (Sue) and Kent Klepper (Julie) and eight nieces and nephews.

Though Selma will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all that had the pleasure of knowing her, she will still be watching over all of us. Selma will still be wishing you a Happy Birthday, Blessed Holidays and share in the happiness of your life’s joyous moments. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at Network Family Church in Albion, Michigan on March 21, 2026. The doors will open at 10:00am with the Memorial Service at 11:00 am and luncheon afterward.
