Scott's obituary

Born on October 23, 1973, and called home on April 9, 2026, Scott Yarson, a beloved father, grandfather, son, brother, and uncle passed away by a tragic unexpected cause. He will be remembered for the love he carried in his heart throughout his life. His presence leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

He was born and raised in Woodbury, New Jersey, the cherished son of Barbara and Harry Yarson, who preceded him in death. From his earliest years, family was the center of his world, and although circumstances impacted that devotion, it remained steadfast in his heart throughout his life.

He was a proud father to his daughter Stephanie and his son Scott Yarson, Jr. One of his greatest heartaches was the way his life circumstances prevented him from being a grandfather to Gianna, Jaden, and Noah, whom he adored beyond words. His love for his children and grandchildren was not visible in the face of his deteriorating mental health, but his legacy lives on through his family.

He is also survived by his devoted siblings: sister Tracie Ford, sister Dana Munyan, and brother Anthony Yarson, as well as his beloved nephew, James Keeny. The bond he shared with his family was important into Scott. His childhood and adult life were filled shared memories, laughter, but mostly pain, and he is at peace now.

Those who knew him will remember his heart, his strength, and the quiet ways he showed up for the people he loved when he was able. He gave freely of himself what he had and left a lasting impression on all who crossed his path.

Though his time on earth was far too short, the love he gave and the memories he created will remain forever. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.
