Scott's obituary
Scott Alan Vincelette
September 30, 1960 – February 23, 2023
Scott was born and raised in Billings along with his two brothers and a sister. He graduated in 1978 from West High, before moving to Denver, Colorado, where he worked for Tower Records and Dan J. Music. Scott later moved to Orlando, Florida, and attended Full Sail School of Recording Arts--graduating Salutatorian of his class. Before moving back to Billings, he worked for Universal Studios Florida.
After returning to Billings, Scott enrolled at MSU-Billings; and eventually moved to Bozeman to attend Montana State University, where he made the Dean’s List each semester. He continued his college education in Anchorage, Alaska, attending the University of Alaska.
While in Alaska, Scott was seriously injured in a train accident and had to return home to Montana to recover.
After a long recovery, Scott moved to Missoula in order to attend the University of Montana where he majored in English. He was granted a work study program and worked alongside Coach Bobby Hauck, filming all the team’s football practices.
Scott had a brilliant, creative mind and enjoyed challenging conversations. He also loved to travel—which he did for several years—once taking him to California where he would work at the Troubadour Club in Hollywood, meeting many celebrities and musicians during his stay.
Over the years, Scott worked many different jobs; from delivering pizza as a teenager, house painting, working in construction, tending bar and even working in the oil fields. Eventually, the injuries he sustained from the train accident in Alaska would disable him permanently and he retired from any form of hard labor.
Two years ago, Scott moved to Cozumel, Mexico, and he loved it! He loved the people, the weather, the sea and the culture of Mexico. He recently purchased a return plane ticket to Mexico and had made a deposit on an apartment with plans of becoming a permanent resident. Scott had finally found his happy place.
Scott Alan Vincelette is survived by his mother, Darlene (Marker) Vincelette and his brothers, Todd (Kim) of Fairbanks, AK, Paul (Melanie) and daughter, Autumn, and Paul’s four other children, Christopher Coulter, Jacob, Elleigha, and Kyuss Vincelette; Sister RaeAnn Vincelette of Boulder, CO.
