After a hard fought battle with colon cancer, Scott K. Poropat passed away peacefully on November 6th, 2023. Scott was born on February 18th, 1965 in Calumet City, IL to parents John and Joyce Poropat. The Poropat family moved to South Florida where Scott lived most of his life. He was a dedicated, hard working man in the construction field for over 20 years. Scott was predeceased by both of his parents, Joyce and John Poropat, as well as his brother Mark Poropat. He is survived by his sister Kim Poropat, nieces Paige Bloom Ferman, Chelsey Poropat, Madison Poropat, and Angelina Poropat. As well as his nephews, Todd Poropat, Evan Poropat, and Carter Poropat. Scott is survived by his only child, Taylor Poropat Lozano. Scott was a lover of cheesy TV shows and Chicago sports. He was kind, soft spoken, and absolutely hilarious. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday January 27th 2024 in Davie FL. All are welcome. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the American Cancer Society.
