Scott's obituary

Scott M. Gibson, Millis, peacefully passed away at his home on Monday April 22, 2024. He was 69.

Scott was born in Dunkirk, NY on December 15, 1954, to the late Richard M. and Helen (Hackbush) Gibson. He is survived by his wife Susan Travers Gibson of 38 years; his children, Jennifer Gibson of Charlton, Richard Gibson of Charlton, Jayme Brow-Gibson of Medway, Amanda (Keith) Kochansky of Medway, and Catherine Gibson of Millis; one brother, Malcolm (Deborah) Gibson of Millis; 15 grandchildren, Robert Parker, Morgan Brow, Richard Brow, Eleanor O’Neil, Brian Donovan, Kailyn Gibson, Chelsea Donovan, Ashley Gibson, Brooke Drinkwater, Richard Gibson Jr., Izzabella Harberski, Brayden Gibson, Jacob Drinkwater, Owen Gibson and Adelyn Gibson, and 3 great-grandchildren.

Sadly, he is preceded in death by son Jeremiah Brow in 2006 and brother Richard ‘Dick’ Gibson in 2023.

Finish carpenter by trade, Scott was dedicated to the details. He fulfilled his dream and opened his own carpentry business, supporting local communities. He valued quiet time in nature while vacationing at his camp in Vermont. Scott’s been passionate about animals from a young age, and has left behind a big, goofy Pyrenees that will greatly miss him. Recently, most of his free time was spent relaxing with his wife and dog, playing with his grandchildren and enjoying a glass of bourbon. His family is immensely saddened to lose such a special husband, dad and papa.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
