Scott's obituary

Scott Kistler: My Greatest Blessing

Written by Ava Kistler

Chesterland Ohio

My dad, Scott Kistler (April 26, 1980 – March 17, 2025) wasn’t just my father; he was my biggest supporter, my inspiration, and the strongest person I’ve ever known. He lived with a heart full of gratitude, always treasuring the people he loved and the moments he shared with them. His family and friends meant everything, and he never took a single moment for granted.

Even in his hardest battles, he never focused on what he was losing, he focused on God. As his illness progressed, he found the most comfort in listening to scripture, holding tightly to God’s love.

He was only 44, but he lived with more love and purpose than most do in a lifetime. Losing him has left a hole in my heart, but I know his love and lessons will stay with me forever. His presence may be gone but his memory will never fade. Now my dad, Scott, is in the hands of God, and free beneath endless skies. He will always be my greatest blessing, my hero forever.

Love, Ava Kistler
