Scott's obituary
Scott Jenkins, 65, of Ocean Park, died February 16th, 2025, at his home in Ocean Park.
He was born April 13th, 1959, to Fred and Helen Jenkins in Chehalis, Washington. Scott worked various jobs on the peninsula, including oyster shucking, mushroom picking, and clam cleaning. When Long Beach was open for clam digs, he was a well-known and highly recommended cleaner to the Ocean Park local
Scott is survived by his brother Steve Jenkins of Vancouver, Washington; Kenneth Jenkins of Ocean Park, Washington; his twin brother Stan Jenkins of Astoria, Oregon; his sister Wanda Houston of Ocean Park, Washington; and Martha English of Roseville, California, as well as his only child Erica Wilder of California and three grandchildren
He's preceded in death by his parents Fred and Helen Jenkins and his brothers Ron, Ed, Gary, and Tom Jenkins and two sisters Mary Cothren and Corinne Houston.
Scott is also preceded in death, by the Love of His Life, Pearl Akers. Scott and Pearl spent 2 decades with one another and he leaves behind, as well, the family they forged together over that time. Including Pearl's daughter, Celeste Bryant, and her daughter, he helped raise from 4 years of age, Bianca perry. Scott was devastated by Pearls passing and we are all happy he's free to join back with her, in his passing.
It is with heavy hearts that our family shares the passing of Scott Jenkins on Sunday, February 16th, 2025.
Scott was deeply loved, and we will miss him more than words can express. We appreciate your thoughts and support during this difficult time. Memorial Services will be held:
March 15th, at 2:00 pm
