Scott's obituary

Scott Gregory Hanzl passed away during his favorite time of day, early on a crisp spring weekend morning- and then the sun came up.  His unexpected death on early Saturday morning May 11, 2024 at the age of 64 was the result of natural causes.

He was a devoted father, son, brother and husband. Scott loved dogs, reading, philosophy, cooking, fitness, biking and most of all his family. He would have loved that his family was together the weekend of his passing, and that the Mavericks and Stars won that day.

A champion of learning, Scott loved keeping up with current events- and he was happy to bring you up to speed on what your views should be too. Anybody who knew him knew the most important thing in his life was the happiness of his family, especially his children.  He was immensely proud of the adults they have become and most of all that they were happy (he DIDN'T need details.)

He was deeply loved and preceded in death by his parents Betty and Ron Hanzl and is survived by his children, Amanda and her husband Hunter, 37, Andrew 35, and Audra and her partner Sarah 32, his wife, Patricia (ageless,) his siblings Karen, David, and Susan, and his faithful furry companion, Teddy.
